We were pleased to see that one of our scholars, Akwaeke Emezi, has been announced as one of the finalists for PEN America this year for her novel, Freshwater. The award honours debut novels written by an American author who has not previously published a full-length work of fiction.
The winner will be announced at the PEN America awards ceremony in New York on 26th February 2019.
